PAPER WORLD
My compulsion to draw grew stronger and stronger. Extravagant scenes and characters began to appear. The blank paper drew me into a fantastical universe that fascinated me. I could invent my own world there. The pencil became an extension of my hand and connected me directly to a clean, sacred space, safe from pain.
There were no limitations; anything could be drawn, be it a necessity or an absurd thought, anything I wanted or imagined. Paper was the noble and stoic ally that held my emotions better than I could, and just knowing that this place existed gave me peace. That paper world was where I wanted to live.
