I DON'T DRAW PORTRAITS, I DRAW EMOTIONS
I am a Chilean visual artist specializing in hyperrealistic drawing, working primarily with graphite and charcoal on paper and wood. My work is based on meticulous observation of reality, focusing on light, texture, and subtle emotional presence. Through an intense and disciplined drawing process, I seek to capture not only physical likeness but also the emotional tension that exists between precision and fragility. Each piece is the result of long hours of concentrated work, where every tonal transition is carefully constructed. I am particularly interested in the expressive potential of graphite as an immediate and noble medium: its ability to convey depth, atmosphere, and intimacy through restraint and control. I work exclusively on unique pieces. There are no reproductions. Each drawing is conceived as a singular object, destined for private collections that value technical mastery, investment of time, and authenticity. My practice is guided by patience, perseverance, and a deep respect for the tradition of drawing, while also engaging with contemporary visual sensibilities. Selected works are available for private collectors.
